Creating a Personalized TCM Treatment Plan
Weaving Your Healing Plan
At Tsumugi, we co-create your treatment plan with your whole life in mind: your goals, your capacity, your rhythms.
Whether you're seeking relief, clarity, or long-term change, we begin where you are.
Below, you’ll find the steps we take to shape a treatment plan that’s truly yours.

Setting Intentions for Care: What Are We Weaving Toward?
We begin by getting clear on what matters most to you.
What would you like to feel, shift, or create through this care?
Some people come for things like:
Pain-free periods
Fertility support
Less anxiety or overwhelm
But we want to go deeper—into why those goals matter.
Not just “get pregnant,” but: “to become a parent.”
Not just “less pain,” but: “to enjoy my days again.”
This becomes the GPS for your journey.
The clearer the vision, the stronger the thread. Say it out loud.
Modalities of Care: Choosing Your Threads
At Tsumugi, healing doesn’t only happen on the treatment table.
Each form of care offers something unique.
We generally recommend keeping in-person and online care distinct:
Online Care: Yang Treatments
To engage, reflect, and take empowered steps.
These sessions focus on strategy, lifestyle shifts, herbs, and self-care guidance etc..In-Office Care: Yin Treatments
To rest, receive, and be nourished.
This includes acupuncture and bodywork—like an OS update.
Why keep them separate?
Combining yin and yang modalities in the same session can confuse your system and dilute the benefits of each. Clear intention matters.
Empowering, flexible, and accessible from anywhere.
Ideal if you:
Want sustainable, long-term change
Are eager to shift your condition more quickly
Live far away or can’t come in regularly
Are between sessions and need clarity
Want to understand your body—not outsource your healing
Are budget-conscious — online sessions are offered at a lower rate to support access
Online Sessions:
Grounding, body-based treatments that nourish you deeply.
Ideal if you:
Can make time for appointments and the commute
Have the financial capacity for consistent in-person care
Need hands-on, body-based treatment (e.g., acupuncture, bodywork)
These sessions act as catalysts—but they are not the whole weave.
In-Person Sessions:
Tip:
Healing isn’t something done to you. It’s done with you. Learning home-based care builds confidence, clarity, and resilience.
You just need a starting point that makes sense for your life. Let’s find that together.
What Makes A Treatment Plan Truly Supportive?
Each plan is customized—not just to your condition, but to your capacity.
Together, we consider:
Your current health and energy levels
Time and scheduling constraints
Financial resources
Natural tendencies and rhythms
Level of commitment (or current overwhelm)
What motivates you — and what feels like too much
Healing doesn’t require perfection. It asks for presence.
Have you seen the image of a tall ladder vs. a short one?
You don’t need to be “all in” to begin. Even the smallest step forward is still a beginning.
Being Real About What’s Possible
We believe in compassionate honesty.
If your condition is complex or long-standing, but you're only able to come in occasionally—and herbs or self-care aren’t possible right now—that’s okay.
But it's important to name it: we may need to adjust your goals to match what’s truly possible.
We’ll never pressure or judge.
But we may gently suggest one of two things:
Explore what small support you can offer yourself (or receive from others) between sessions
Or shift your goals to reflect your current reality
This is your care. Your choice.
We’ll walk beside you but we can’t walk for you.
Staying In Sync
Your life evolves—so should your care. We revisit your plan regularly to reflect on:
What’s working
What’s not sticking
What’s shifting, inside or around you
Treatment plan isn’t a rigid prescription, and is more than number or acupuncture sessions or herbal prescriptions.
It’s a living, breathing process.
We stay curious, collaborative, and clear—together.
Is this something you resonate?
